Every Spring and Fall semester, GLA conducts the Mid-Term Progress Rating during the 6th to 8th weeks. All faculty members teaching GLA courses are to submit a report of students at risk of earning an F.
The purpose of the Mid-Term Progress Rating is to conduct an early intervention for students risking an F.
Students who are reported risking an F will be alerted by the Academic Advising Center during the 9th week. It is students' responsibility to communicate with the respective course instructors regarding the underlying reasons for risking an F and discuss how to improve their performance during the remainder of the semester.
If necessary, the AAC can also refer you to another student support unit, such as Disability Resource Center, Student Support Room (counseling), and Student Success Program (learning specialist).
Students who have not yet been assessed for Academic & English Hurdle may request to withdraw from courses, yet they are still highly encouraged to make an informed decision by speaking to the respective course instructors in advance.
The deadline for the course withdrawal is indicated on the Academic Calendar.
