Off-campus residency is available; however, both universities strongly recommend that students reside in ANU dormitories and will not take any responsibility or support for off-campus accommodation. In fact, it is quite challenging to find housing in Australia for international students. If you cannot secure accommodation, you will be required to return to Japan, making it harder to stay on track with your Dual Degree Program. To avoid this, ANU is asking all students to apply for ANU accommodation, whether you are trying to find an off-campus residence or not. Remind that applying for ANU accommodations after the deadline is impossible. Details will be given at the Pre-Departure Session, and application must be made afterward. When your application is accepted, ANU accommodation will send you an offer. You need to take the offer within 48 hours; otherwise, it will be indicated that you have rejected the offer, and your application will be revoked and cannot be restored.
